The Prosecution Rests…
And the defense moves to dismiss all but the grand larceny charge. Predictable move. Just as predictably, the prosecution argued that breaking in, assaulting Yeardley, and stealing the computer will all part of the same criminal enterprise – the argument for the felony murder charge.
Judge Hogshire – there is ample evidence to find in favor of the Commonwealth’s case. Motion to dismiss is overruled, carry on.
The prosecution wrapped its case by describing the Huguely’s activities and movements on the last day, the Baltimore Sun article is here.
George’s day planner might have looked like this:
9 am ish wake up drunk
harass neighbor/teammate
drink throughout golf outing
drink throughout dinner after the golf outing
11:30ish disappear for a time (confront Yeardley Love)
return, call and text 3 different girls trying to “get together and hangout” — alibi fishing?
lie to roommates about where he had been
go to bed drunk
Another notable note? Most of the day was spent with his father on the father/son golf tournament. They argued about the volume of the music in the car, the grad gift that George V didn’t particularly like, and when V dropped a bottle of wine at the restaurant, IV (dad) told him he should stop drinking.
ya think?
Such a tragic waste.
