At the <a href="http://blogs.denverpost.com/broncos/2011/12/15/tebow-crashes-the-republican-debate/11306/?utm_source=dlvr.it&#038;utm_medium=twitter"  alt="Republican debate" target="_blank">Republican debate</a> candidate Rick Perry made a very strange analogy in the Iowa debate comparing his campaign to our beloved Tebow. </p>
<p>I doubt the Iowans who caucus are following football all that closely but I suppose Tebow mania is hard to miss. He was, afterall,  the topic of the New York Times op ed <a href="http://mobile.nytimes.com/2011/12/11/opinion/sunday/bruni-tim-tebows-gospel-of-optimism.xml"  alt="The Gospel of Optimism" target="_blank">The Gospel of Optimism</a> over the weekend. </p>
